I called up the clinic regarding my medical, the lady said it is already sent out so i guess those who did their medical on 9th Jan can only wait for SIA to give us a call/email

I waited for 1 wk but those who went with me for the checkup, got their clearance in 5 days time.

so fast? tmr's gonna be my 1 week. i dont want to get rejected at this stage.

Totally understand how you are feeling now, I was feeling the same last week, don't want to fail at this stage. But maximus said it right, SIA wants to employ us that's why they sent us for the checkup (fully paid). If so far your health is ok and you know that you don't have scoliosis of more than 20 degree since young, you should be fine.

Think Mary is very busy cause I tried to call her today to ask about my bond stuffs and she didn't pick up the call at all. So give them till end of this week, should be hearing from them soon. Good luck!

Took out WCT for the last few rounds of interviews, not sure if they will want to conduct it again this time round or not. Interviews rounds are:

1. Group interview
2. Kebaya/Skin Check
3. 1 to 1 interview
4. Mgmt interview

After which, you go for your medical checkup.

did u see any singaporean gals going to KL for their interview? since u r coming all the way to SG for it. My fren said passing rate at KL better but i doubt so too, everywhere is the same and will be equally strict. Is the interview process the same as SG? u noe?

I think I log in here more than on msn haha. Tips ah, stay calm, smile always, be confident and be natural.

Think in the point of view of interviewers, what kind of person you want to recruit and what kind of answer do you want to hear. You have to research on duties, roles, qualities of cabin crew, the more you know about this occupation, the more advantage you have over the rest. You need to know the pros and cons of being a cabin crew but of course try to stay on the pros rather than the cons.

Don't be deliberate in the sense being someone you are not. Interviewers are experienced, they can tell from your micro-expressions or body language whether one is honest and sincere or just lip-servicing them.

Lastly, go google online you will find lots of info locally or overseas about cabin crew. Read and make mental notes of those you think are useful and then practice in front of the mirror how you talk and walk.

Still unsure? Haha can always ask anyone in this forum but before you do that, better do some research first. Good luck!

Anyone can advise how long the process of signing bond going to take?

It should not take too long lah, about 1 hr? STC is so far, add in the travelling time plus going there abit early = 1.5hr. Lets say that you reach there at 1345hr by the time finish also around 1430hr - 1500hr, reach back office at 1530hr -1600hr. 1700hr knock off, So do you think you need to take half day leave???

Haha if I were the surety of course I would take half day leave but my bf don't really want to waste his leave hence all the trouble...

i think you shld go that day.. they only put us in group of 15 n sat in semi-circular shaped n asked us to discuss a topic.. i didn;t talk much (as i was really really damn nervous n was extremely cold in there).. i think if you're presentable n can talk a bit n smile a whOle lot they'll pick u for the next round..~

as it's my very first time tryin the emirates.. im not sure when n what is their mgmt round about though..~ we were told to be in full business suit n put on makeup as if it's our wedding day for the upcoming round next week.. wahahaha..~

Depends.

If you are extremly early for the walk-in, you get to do everything in a day. If not you get to do till whichever stage they deem fit cause they will end their day at 5pm.

As for when they will call you back for the next stage if you did not get to finish everything in a day, that is up to their discretion. But usually the following week of the interview.

So, if you want to save yourself the trouble of having to wait for weeks, go queue up really early. The whole 4 stages will take you a day cause of the amount of time you need to wait in between each stage.

Hmm I think you may be right that foreigners will take a longer time? Cause need to apply for work permit and stuffs. In any case, I'm sure you will pass the medical.

Xanngac:Yeah, i kept telling myself like what Maximus had mentioned but my bf kept pouring me cold water.
My health should be no prb as for scoliosis i don't rmb having issues with that. I flipped through my health booklet from primary to sec sch, can't really spot anything except during sec 2 sch checkup, there was a remark "backbone slight curve, advise good posture and regular stretching excerise" No longer have such remark after that. Scoliosis can only be diagnose via X-ray, is it possible to "feel"? I run my fingers through can't tell any diff.

Getting paranoid lol!

haha my scoliosis was very mild, like 4degrees but they still called me back for a 2nd xray on thursday..

i don't know when i will be getting the YES YES call. =\

Yah tell me abt it, my bf was pouring me cold water throughout, think he was trying to get me into the "If I don't get it then so be it mood" but heck it certainly didn't work!

If the clinic didn't call you back, I suppose should be fine, if not you would have to do the x-ray again. No news is good news!

Not sure if can feel scoliosis leh. But I'm sure you all will pass just like I did. I know the waiting is torturous, but no other choice. Give them till end Friday cause from what I know, the clinic despatch days for the results are Mon, Wed and Fri so probably only sent out on Friday.

These few days the HR probably busy with the signing of bond for Venie's batch so might take a while for them to get back to this. Good luck!
