Hahaha i agree, it's quite a sort after job. Guess everyone wants to be a cabin crew some parts of their life to get the experience.

Why not this... who got a shortlisted mail do leave a post here to know that they start sending out mails. So we'll be able to guage from there, i guess...
But i am guessing around this or next week we'll get the replies...

wah..i nvr imagine so many spore gals wanna be air stewardesses...wat's so great abt it, it's juz a high class waitress job in a moving mode of transportation, in fancy uniform. i mean, i can understand the excitement, but u guys sound so...ecstatic and euphoric. y dun u guys consider being models instead, if u can make it? no risk of plane crash, glamorous, nice...it's a good job oso wat.

just came back from the silkair interview...
turns out, there was a uniform change AND everyone had to jump off the mock plane... and no, it was not 3 storeys high... merely 1 floor up.
and once again, we all had to leave feeling relieved it was all over, but, knowing that we'd have to wait with anticipation for our next letter.

Good luck girls, everyone did great today! =)

Heya misty grins..
Well, being a model may also sound glamorous and all too.. But there are lots out there. Unless you make a name for yourself, You will have a steady income every month. And that won't be for long also as you dun expect them to always find you as the cover gal/guy rite? They will get sick of looking at you too. Whereas as a flight attendant, you get quite a steady income for as long as you fly with them. Yes it may be regarded as a high class waitressing job. Compare it to those really waitressing on the ground. A big difference in almost all aspects of a waitressing job.

Models in Singapore are also not paid as well as those even in neighbouring Hong Kong... Unless you keep winning titles like Top model or something.. or like once a top model.. continue to make your name known by venturing into acting/movies/own stores and such.. and make sure they do good too.. if not it's a lash back at ur reputation...

I guess it depends on each individual on why they wanna apply as a flight attendant. That, they can save it for the interview when shortlisted to reply... hahaha..

Hi Shan... you r of the female species?
Tis one here... :)
Well, I'm 170cm i think... the last time i was there for an interview for another position, they measured me 171.5cm.. So i guess it depends on the person measuring you.. (she's short by the way...so the angle might have affected the measurement..hahaha) I'm not woried bout my height, but rather my size.. haha... so i guess we'll see what happens...

Dun have to be so nervous. Unless of course you are 'dying' to get the job... If not, I guess we'll just try again the next time round!
Just found this web. So happy that got company to exchange question and answer about my doubt. I think have to wait for them to reply. So scary
