Actually you may wanna try to give them a courtesy call if they dun call u like in 1 mth time. Cos it happen to mi. I went for the write in early Nov, cleared it then went for medical check up in mid Nov. Only last week when i gave them a courtesy call then they confirm i've cleared my medical. In fact when i called them they say they tried to contact mi but can't get mi. But on my side, i didn't receive any call leh...so if it gets too long, might wanna give them a call to check. I've waited for more than a mth before i decided to call them. So now waiting for them to assign mi a training date.

before i went in, i did knock on the door and when i open the door just give them a wide smile and greet them will do.. if there's a pause in between den ask permission from the interviewer to sit down.

the chair is place abt a meter away from the interviewer. please dun go and drag the chair all the way towards the table.. reason being they wanna have a full view of you.. they're observing ya body language..

for the 27th dec batch who passed the management round, can i ask how did u manage to answer the following questions:

-ability to cope with politics and bullying (eg. asking what you would do if a superior instructed you to do something you knew was wrong)
-how you would deal with superiors who are younger than you / less capable than you when faced with bullying

thanks in advance! i am feeling nauseous and wanna throw up.. at all the interviews.. all these interviews really scaring me..
Hi Yingying2888, I was thrown the exact same questions. This is what I answered and apparently, the interviewers nodded their heads with approval.

-Ability to cope with politics and bullying (eg. asking what you would do if a superior instructed you to do something you knew was wrong)

In any given situation when I'm told to complete a task which defies the constitution and integrity of either myself or my organization, I will first judge the exact task. Will it hurt another person? Will it cause unnecessary trouble? Is it against my own conscience? Honestly, if it doesn't fit into any of that criterias, I'll do it first, then I will approach my supervisor for enlightenment. Only then, will I not taken to task for insubordination. I definitely am justified to speak up, of course, in a polite manner.

-How you would deal with superiors who are younger than you / less capable than you when faced with bullying

A lot of people are born with the gift of the gap. Having this gift will allow them to think that they can talk their way out of any situation. But the greatest lesson to learn, if one really possesses this gift, is to learn when not to use it. Hierarchy occurs in all organization. Even if this particular person happens to be less capable or younger, he/she is still my superior. I will give the due respect, but will try to approach others with an equal or higher ranking to gain enlightenment.

Bottom line is, always put yourself in a protected but subordinated position. Only then will you give them the impression that you have a willingness to help, learn, assist and improve yourself.

All the best and good luck!

Maximus
that was really helpful.. thanks so much maximus! soooo darn nervous.. how long does the mgmt round lasts?
The duration of the management interview varies. But it'll be around 10 to 15 mins.

You won't really have a chance to walk up to them to shake their hands. Best is to just smile, greet and take a seat.
Make yourself comfortable. Whatever is thrown at you, answer with positivity. Really really must remember to smile can!

Maximus

Good luck to those attending the mgmt interview! :)

Cross legs or not, up to you all lah, just make sure you sit straight and don't open your legs wide can already hehe.

Don't be too nervous cause if you do, you can't be natural and you will somehow fumble, give very vague answers or can't justify your answers accurately enough. Its natural to feel nervous, but its important not to show it to them. I learned that if you walk in thinking too much about how you will fail or how eager you are to show what you've, most of the time you might end up disappointed...

Think it this way: Go in and give your best shot. If you've prepared enough and answered everything to your best effort, even if you didn't get the job, at least you are accountable towards yourself that you've done your best. As to what is your best effort, you should know yourself better lah. Take it that you are there to show them that you are really up to the job, convince them that you are the one they want to employ. Even if you don't feel confidence enough, you've got to fake it till you make it.

One thing for sure, confidence show but competence don't. So jiayou everyone and hope to hear the good news from you all! :)
