Mine's at 10am. Hope the wait this time round won't be as horrendous as the last.
hahaaha! this time round will be even more horrendous than the last round. this time round, we'll be having swimming test in the aftn, meaning, we'll have to wait even longer...
I got my letter too! got it on monday! Mines at 9am... And yeah, lets hope the wait will not be so torturous this time.. but i guess it was worth the wait. haha... See u guys on monday! =)

When I had my interview 2 years back, I had a 1 to 6 interview first in a small room, the interviewee asked us different questions, mostly about the company's profile....they want to know how much you know about the company. That includes destinations, history etc.....
then they asked us to wait for a while outside where we had some refreshments, a lady will then call out your name to those who will make it to the swimming test.
During the swimming test, please do not cry or run away when you are told to jump. If you hesitate, you are out even if you manage to jump and swim. Let me warn you that you not only have to jump, you will have to swim across the pool which has artificial sea current.
On ya, one more thing, before you jump, they will ask you to line up according to your no. and ask you to walk a distance one by one for the body check. Basically, they will check your skin on your body, face and any visible obvious scars and tattoos....... uniform covering scar should be ok.
Then after everything.....you will be told to go home and wait for the next letter to the management interview. This would be the worst and scariest, coming to the front and talk, you will be facing the senior managers and interviewees.
Good luck for those going for the interview! Hope to see you in Silkair
BTW, some of the interviewees for the coming interview includes some of our cabin crew and cabin crew supervisors and managers. Good Luck!!

Just send your application in, and you will know if you get invited for interview. Usually O level is enough, except for SQ that ask for min A levels

hi minty,

here is the link to the photos of SIA stewardess.

http://photos.yahoo.com/woohoo123123123

these are the looks that SIA employ. just an example. SIA have a mixture of average-looking girls and pretty looking girls. and mixtures of slim girls and big-size girls. and girls who are age young, like 20 to older age, like 28

so, it depends on the company when and what kind of girls they want. so just keep applying, who knows, u might be the one they are looking for in one of their recruitment.

all the best! =)
yup, i agreed. SIA have different types of stewardess, pretty, average, slim, big-boned, newbies age 20 and newbies age 28,29.

so, let just give it a shot each time the recruitment exercise is out, who knows, we might just fit into one of their recruitement.

anyone knows what kind of girls do JetStar ,Silkair take in ??? anyone, married n still flying ??
I was an SIA girl and I'd like to clarify on the age issue here.
There was this girl aged 28 during my round of interview and she made it through!

I must highlight to those aspire Flight Stewardess that a clear complexion, neat and presentable appearance is very very important. Do not wear sexy and expose clothings for the interview. Please put on light make up, and not 'party' make up.

One of the important criteria when they ask you about your hobby is that you must like reading... so, tell that your hobby is reading and listening to music....

I must also highlight to you that it is not compulsory that pretty girl will make it for the interviews. Even one of our Channel8 celebrity can't even make it after 3 rounds of interview!

Be honest and enjoy the entire process of the interview. The more nervous you are, the lesser chance you will make it.... cuz since you can't manage the interviewer, how can they trust you with over 300 passengers onboard?

All the Best!
i agreed! :)

Dear Silkair crew,

Do you know why are they still holding on to our rejection letters if they're already giving 3rd interview to the rest? What are the chances that they'll hold a second batch of 2nd interviews?
