i couldn't get pass the skin test the other time!!hahaha
all dermatologists fully booked till january. hahahaha
but i finally gt this specialist who is free for 1/2 an hour tomoro.
anywya.. i also don;t know where is the place... wad lobby trainin center.. anyone knows exactly where is it? =)
You have to get to STC and when you enter the premise, you will need to exchange your IC for this temporary pass. Just walk in along the carpark and you will see the building at the end of the carpark. Once you enter through the main glass door, the security will inform the person-in-charge to come pick us up for interviews. So not to worry, not a very big place. Anyway you just have to follow the crowd and you can't be too wrong.
hahah thanks a lot!!
anywya.. do u think i can drive there? coz i live far away.. if i take a cab there its gonna cost a lot..
will there be any lots for me to park my car?
and.. on the email they told me to bring testimonials. but i dun have any. hahaha how?
Er not sure whether there will be any lots to park your car, you can try emailing them at the same email to ask.
Testimonials from school will do as well if you have no working experience.
And so my journey begins...

here's what the email reads:
We refer to your application for the position of Cabin Crew. We would be pleased if you could attend our walk-in interview on 27 Jan 08@ Sheraton Towers Singapore. Details will be available on our website:
www.singaporeair.com/careers inearly Jan 08.
i dunno is it because I'm graduating in May08, thats why i was not scheduled for any interviews in Dec07.
wow!! SIA is so... considerate! haha
seriously, i think this is so good la. they will mail those who went before. does it mean they have a database of who went and who didn't get in and who got to what stage?

Girls who are asked to go for interview on 27-Dec-07, do you have any idea which round will take and not take place?
I presume no WCT since they took it out for the walk-in in Dec and that they didn't state in the email to bring any swimming gears. But the rest of the interviews remain and probably everything will be done in that day itself if time allows.
If there is no changes in the sequence of interviews, it will be:
1)Grp interview (10 interviewees to 2 interviewers)
2)Kebaya test
3)Skin test (Height and weight will be taken either before Kebaya or after skin test ba)
4)1 to 1 interview
5)Mgmt interview (1 interviewee to 2 interviewers)
6)Health Checkup (Can be done on the same day provided the clinic is still open. The clinic will not be at STC)
i heard that there won't be any spotlight for the skin check coz the lightings at the trainin center itself is white and very bright. so i'm not sure..
jus heard it from a fren who jus got into SIA (her fren got in thru shortlisted write-in interview at training center too)
not so sure if this is 100% going to happen.
Whether with spotlight or not, they will definitely check the skin. So if the training centre is bright, then whatever skin flaws will be quite clear to them even without spotlight. So our best bet is to keep our skin flawless, at least for that day hahaha.
And so my journey begins...

Go to Simei MRT, take bus number 5, you'll reach STC within 10 minutes.

Unless you drop the bomb on them, say you are suppose to go for interview on 27th, you email them on 26th to say that you can't attend without providing a valid reason. Cause I suppose they would think that you are not very interested and not very considerate after all. But if you are really very sick, they just might not mind and will arrange for a reschedule.
If you can't make it, you should inform them once you receive the email and let them know the availability of your schedule so that they can arrange another time for you.
If you think it's weird to email them about the parking lot, then maybe can ask around in the forum. But I suppose they should have a public carpark for visitors la.
And so my journey begins...

Haha I also don't know how but I think go facial should help ba. Drink lots of water, avoid fried and spicy food, sleep early, etc. That's what most people say. But ultimately it depends on your body. Some people eat spicy food everyday but they still have flawless skin...
And so my journey begins...

hey rainschocholate,
mmm think their database aint that detailed ba.
as for preventing breakouts... Sleep more. Eat more veg and fruits. Avoid nuts. i dunno abt chilli. haha cos i simply cant do without it.
Oh actually i dunno much about facial la. sometimes i think facial can be quite traumatising for the skin cos the blackheads are usually yanked out with some bit of force. This can sometimes make your skin look really raw and red due to the over stretched pores.
to remove blackheads you can try some blackhead removal gel like Ginvera. for fast removal of nasty pus-filled pimples, use neutrogena acne cream! smells quite awful but effective!

Maybe cz you are young ma, so your hormones more active, I old already so my hormones less active, less problematic. But I still have prob every now and then also, now just praying that my skin remain like what it is till 27th haha.
I guess birds' nest, masks and medication should help la. Don't worry so much later stress will bring about more problems. Relax!
And so my journey begins...

SQ to hire 2000 more cabin crew
I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.

Sad day for many SIA crew, losing their jobs, hope they can soon get back to their jobs.
Pilots are taking 50-60% paycuts to keep their jobs.

They can come here but not so much for local going there.
