hi veryscary,
did the HR lady actually told u u pass ur mgt but need to go for the english course?
for my case, they didn't tell me if i pass or fail, just simply that they'll write to me again. it's kinda agonising to not know excatly what they mean by that and when will they write.
guess i'll just have to wait patiently for their letter.
and dear xuetingg, thanks so much for your prompt reply.
hope things will go well like what u said and have fun during trng!

Hi garlic, the lady said, the interview was good but the interviewers wanted me to go for a english course to polish up my english. After I got the cert, I need to submit to them for review. She told me I dont need to go for final interview again, they will arrange a special interview to review my english. So actually I am not so sure if they meant I have passed the management round.

joycee, i must say i've got alot of marks on my hands n legs due to mild eczema. I even indicate in the application form n inform the beautician as well. But she just smiled n told me not to worry. Even during wct i passed e skin check. but 2 girls get booted out due to their acne.
i think face area is much more concerned. i hope this helps.
xuetingg, wat was ur num durin wct?
congrats on passing the management

anyway, was ur mgt on the 18th as well? im waitin for my call too...

i'm new here. have been constantly reading this forum since afew years back and it has really helped me alot in preparation for the interviews rds. now i have a problem and i hope someone can advise me.
i just went for my management round for the 15july recruitment. after the interview, i was told that i'm put on KIV as i still had around 6mths to my graduation(ard mid feb) from a local polytechnic.
the interviewer told me that they can't commit to me as 6months is quite a long period and that they'll write to me again. i asked the HR lady when but seems like she wasn't too sure either.
i wasn't told to go for the medical checkup too..
anybody has come across this suituation before?
how are the chances like for KIV cases? will they still reject in the end?
hope i can get some answers here. thanks!

Hallo everyone, my very first post here =)
Hi Garlic, well my case is similar to yours but slightly shorter ie i will only graduate from uni this coming dec(~4months from now). However I still went ahead for the walk in interview (to gain exp mainly 'cos I wasnt sure they will accept me knowing i am still a student).
I was (still am) pleasantly surprised that i made it all the way to management level. The last question they asked was "any last question for us?" And naturally I brought this issue up. They assure me its fine, and i made it thru
Went for the medical checkup the very same day and thats about it. School start soon for me in a couple of weeks' time.
Good luck to all guys and gals!
cheers

Hey oohlala!
I too have many scars from eczema. any idea how to remove them? I have been trying all sorts of cream, some cause more rash which made things worse.

I tried to conceal them with concealer during the interview, but feels as if my concealer kinda highlighted them~ any suggestions to cure/ cover? Thanks!

The best cure is still to see a skin doc...do not go n buy those cream pdts over the counter coz it might be too harsh which will worsen the condition. Just go n see a norm medical doc or skin doc (if u dun mind payin more) so tat it will be removed permanently. N concealin wit concealer doesnt help..it mite irritate the eczema or cause allergies in the long run. SOmetimes I do get eczema...skin irritations..thus I seek for skin clinic for cure. Hope this helps!

yah, concealer's definitely not good long term. Do normal medical docs see cases regarding scars? do you mean national skin centre when u mention skin clinic? I've been going there regarding my auto-immune disease. But they're not too helpful with my scars even when i ask them.

hi littlefish,
thanks for your reply.
ya, actually i have heard of quite a number of cases where they still had quite afew mths till their availability but was still told to go for medical check nonetheless after their management round.
which was why i'm puzzled over my KIV status and what they mean by that.
the interviewers actually asked me during mgt interview if i was going to disrupt my studies which i said no. then i ask if it was possible for them to wait until i complete my studies but 1 of the interviewer say 6mths is too long a period to commit to me.
but they didn't say i pass my mgt nor reject me on the spot. just asked me to wait.
ya..
btw, my panel that day was a lady and a gentleman. yours?

nope..personally i feel after an experience there national skin centre is a NO NO! Firstly..its based on appts..if walk-ins...the consulation is damned ex!!..then I was given a too strong cream applied to my face which worsen the condition ..got skin rashes due to the pdts being too dry. They dont really bother abt those cosmetic prob areas such as pimple scars..black n white heads or open pores. Guess they're more into skin diseases. Thus I blacklist the skin centre n then went for those skin clinics at those neighbourhood area...

Hi people, Just wanna share my experience after reading some of the posting over here. I'm a junior cabin crew with SQ, been only flying for 1+ years. I can see that there are many questions you guys wanna ask. For once, I was reading this forum a year ago, just like many of you now. If you have any queries about flying life, etc..., you are more than welcome to drop me a PM and I will try my best to answer your question to the best of my knowledge. Yes, I'm not very senior in the company but I'm truly offering my help. Should I'm unable to, I'm sure there are many fellow crews on this forum can.

I’m taking this as a positive sign that the flight industry is coming back, perhaps now it is finally safe to say that SG is reopened for good.
