any tips for the kebaya fitting round? are elimination rate high? i got a bad skin infection my my left earlobe, wonder if it would affect my chances
Dear Charlene,

Congrats in getting into this far! =) Well done girl!

I understand the Kabaya and Water Confidence Test is on next Wednesday. Do you forsee it to be well before that? Are you under any medication now-like applied cream or anything like that? And did your interviewer of round 2 today mentioned anything about your earlope today? I heard from my friend that when wearing the Kabaya, you are suppose to be flawless. Yes, you hear me right. And it does matter but I do not know till what extend. I hope that does not demoralize you but if you portray yourself well enough and it's not really really serious which you will get well before your flying duties, I don't think they have any reason to fail you.

Best Regards,
Julie Tan

Dear Brian!

Just try your best! Don't! I repeat, Don't memorize anything right now. Go and have a good rest and sleep. I had a sleepless night yesterday and I feel it somehow affected my performance today. Just be yourself and give the best answer that can represent you! Don't feel demoralize because of this ok. If not, I rather not give any advise. Coz I don't like to demoralize people.

Best Regards and good luck!

Dear Amber!

Thanks alot for your encouragement!

Congrats to all those who pulled through including Amber, Wawa, Jianling and Trisha!!!! Really proud of you guys and it's reli nice meeting you guys today! We had alot of chat yah!

Yes, I was the one who did not managed to pull through. Abit disappointed but at the moment that I finished my speech, I know I will not get in. I think I prepared too much in my speech which is like 2mins long and when they told me that they only have 1min for us, I was shocked. So everyone going for interview tomorrow, just word of advise that you will not need to prepare and worst, memorize your speech. I made a mistake by memorizing my speech and in the end, I think the interviewer knows that I memorized and did not really see the real me. They want to see the real you, not wanting to know the memorized you. So I think no need to prepare the speech otherwise, you will be in a mess when the question was not as per you preceive. Try to speak slowly, I think I spoke too fast, like a train, and smile!

I believe that tomorrow more wannbies are trying! Good luck and believe in yourself! Be confident and portray that you can handle stress kk! I ruin my chance this time round but I'm definatley going to try again. Definately. =P Heez.. I'm not a person who will give up easily. And hope that with this experience, the next time will be people congratulating me. haha... Well.. aim for the sky.

For those having the Kabaya and water confidence test next Wednesday, Good luck as well and remember don't eat too much hor! I'll be praying for you guys!

Heyo JUlie!!!

it was very great to actaully get to see you guys just now..I felt so much calm having the ppl I knoe around. Thanks Julie...it was a great experience for me just now knoeing tat the selection was very tight and many good ones were sadly sent home one by one. Actually tell u the truth, I think I overestimated the interviewers..they're actaully really nice ppl..n the questions posed like " Intro urself then tell us why u want to join SQ"? ...be urself...I stammer a lot actually and was the last person in the grp of 10 telling myself n they must b expectin more frm me..I was shaking really shaking..its very obvious. My mind havin prepared the points in my head everythin was messed up...in the end I ended saying sumetin diff. Out of 10..only 3 were selected. The gerls in the room..they were excellent, their speech was properly done & superb! I was pretty shocked some came in with jeans, tube..sandals for the intv n they actaully got tru the 3rd round!!

I remebered how nervous careen was when she's waiting for her turn..julie..n the rest they were bunch of very amiable gerls...dont give up coz success comes in cans' n failure comes in cant's. U gerls rawk!!

Hi Charlene,

No worries! I also hope it subside by Friday! =) No stress about it kk! Stress may result in slow recovery as well. I don't know if it help, maybe you can try salt water especially natural salt which can heal wounds fast. Or aloe vera! Hope those will helping in speeding the recovery process.

In choosing the Kabaya, I heard from Careen that there are 7 fittings for ladies of different size. So you should choose the right size for you and make sure it fits you well. They will also see whether you have the 'Singapore Girl' image after you wear the Kabaya!

Best Regards,
Julie Tan

Yeah! you done it girl! Yah, I was expecting the interviewer to be mean and stern. But I was so wrong. One of the interviewer was like my age. Haha.. Abit weird man. When is your next interview! So happy that you got in! At least you are one step towards your dream and me, have to start from Square one again. But don't worry! I won't give us! This is just a warm up for me! Haha.. *Thick-skin* Don't drop you guard though, as they said that from the next round onwards, the real challenge is about to start!

Hi sq boy,

If I'm not wrong, the whole thing should take around 1 month for the ladies. For gentleman, I'm not very sure though.

I believe you will be trying tomorrow?? Best of luck man!
