ya.. the gals r all beri friendly.. i supposed BA should treat its people beri nice cos most of e seniors involved in e recuitment exercise have oredi worked 4 a few years, some even ten odd years in BA... dunno if they might recruit singaporean soon lor? since they so loyal, hard 2 have any vancanies available, unless they wan 2 expand more flights in this region n need more people..

haiz, i hope they do.. my eye so red when i noe i cant get in to 3rd round, esp when my friend got in n r gog 2 london nxt mth 4 a 5week training.. haiz..

btw, they do not see ur age le.. i met 1 interviewee who's 30 yet oso get selected 4 2nd rd.. so those who can't get in2 SIA bcos of age, can try BA in future... if they do recruit again...

ive actually applied for SIlkair.. as in just. Just try . cuz for me, my passion is to fly, in all aspects of that word actually ahaha.

But yeah, i tried .. and i think u shld just try if u really want to. I mean no harm, and if u get in then thats a good thing.. if u dont then try again or try for another airline.

If u really want this, dont give up. =)

Dear Guest,
British Airways can not be strict on the 'scars issue' for one simple reason; the practices employed by Singapore Airlines in some of it's recruitment aspects are illegal in this country.

Try to find somebody who works for BA and talk to them.

Best Wishes.

Do you think BA puts a premium on people who speak mangled, junk, sms'ese English, or do you think they prefer candidates who speak the Queen's English?

hi, Catmeat... i have not submitted my resume nor application to silkair yet. i just emailed them asking about silkair's age requirement for flight stewardess to which they have not replied yet. guess they are busy...

do you think a 25 year old can apply? if yes, would that be successful?

Well, clearly the latter. I would think any organisation, not just BA, would prefer their employees to speak and write grammatically correct English.

Speaking in 'Singlish' is a common Singaporean trait or should I say habit? To project a professional image, I would like to think that most Singaporeans would attempt to speak and write grammatically correct English.

Hi Keisha,

After reading this forum, I gather that you have a strong interest to join the airline. I would recommend that you send in your application as the airline reserves the right not to answer questions in particular to age, which can be a debatable employee rights issue.
