You can contact some of the travel agents in People's park complex in China town. There are quite a few in 2nd floor. They will charge you, but you can get the work done. I have the email id of one of the agent and if you still require, just PM me.

You should check out the 24 hours Mustafa Travel in Farrer Park too. They should be able to help as well.

I think the best way is ask your colleague or friend.

Not sure is the same process in India but my PR friend here help me invite my dad (I just need his signature on invitation letter and copy of his IC). Invitation letter is also a very simple one saying family friend coming here to visit and will take responsiblity for his accomodation (put the visitor passport number, expiry date, name etc). After that I scanned the letter and IC copy and send it to my dad by email. Then he have to do visa application along with the letter at SG Embassy in our country. Takes about two or three days at most.
