kickboxing/Muay Thai

Post by Arwen » Sun, 30 May 2010 10:16 am

Hi

i am looking for a nice dojo (if possible not one of the flashy ones), as I want the martial arts to be in the focus and not the marketing of the club.

Important for me is a good, nice trainiers and people. Musik Kickboxing classes as they are offered in fitness studios or at Comunity Clubs is not what i am looking for.

For Training during the week it can be around CBD or North Area, weekend I am islandswide flexible.

Thanks

Proper kickboxing gyms have been discussed before in these boards.

Please try this if any of them will answer your questions: click here or here

But yeah, tae-bo and body combat; I know what you mean.

thanks most of the gyms seem to be quite pricy. Just wondering as how martial arts is here more expensive as at home (where most of the things are 30% more than here) :???:

Hopefully I find sth soon :)

asoka muay thai

Post by anandamayi » Thu, 09 Sep 2010 11:04 pm

hi not sure if u are still looking for a gym...

asoka muay thai in the bt timah area... opp sixth avenue is a low key yet very well equipped muay thai gym... amazing thai teachers who have lotsa fight experiences and even took part and won medals in the SEA Games... they have also trained many champion fighters..

not expensive... single classes are only at $25 and unlimited is only $200per mth... u dont have to sign up for like a long period or anything.. think if u are tertiary or ns man or under 18 yrs old it is even cheaper...

check it out if u are interested!

Hi Arwen!

Funnily enough I just went to this martial art place called EVOLVE for a trial class a few days ago. The place was great and the trainers were very professional and friendly. They have classes from muay thai, to kickboxing to fight fitness and many others..I went to their branch in Raffles Place, I think they have another smaller one in Dhoby Ghaut. You should check it out! I'm planning to go there again within next week..;))
