Entrepeneur Meet up Session??

Post by N.S » Tue, 25 May 2010 3:29 pm

Hey All!

Ive met some people through the business in Singapore forum and i would say that it has been a pleasant one. It has benefit me in terms of knowledge and i was glad that based on one encounter it has change my decision drasticly.

I think it will be a great idea for us like-minded entrepenuers(those who are deciding on running a business-who already run a business-or who has been running a business) to gather for coffee and to share their ideas, knowledge and experience. I am sure your input will be highly appreciated and valuble more than any self help books can provide.

Do let me know if you can take time off your busy schedule for a meet-up session.

Regards
Nadya

Hey Nadya,

I think this is a great idea and I am surprised that you have not gotten any responses. Unfortunately, I will not be in Singapore until next summer as I am finishing an MBA in the US. I have a few ideas to work out over my final year here and would love to participate in a group like this. Good luck!

Hi Dan

Apparently. some people prefer sending me an email rather then post it here in the forum. ;) Also i did manage to meet up with these people although the response wasnt that encouraging.

Good luck in your MBA!!

Regards
Nadya

I think such meetings would be great. Although I am not an Entrepeneur (yet), I can see the benefit of such meetings. It would allow people to share ideas and experience, and build up valuable contacts.

Learning from each others experiences, and sharing of mistakes what we can all avoid and building on shared proven forumulas can help all the entrepeneurs of the group to develop together, faster.

I am sure for an expat, living in a foreign country, and starting a new business, it would be great to have a network of support or even just someone to talk with and to get a second opinion.

I'd be up for it. I've been here 3 years now and have been in business since day one. Plus 15 years running my own business my help a few people out. I've pretty much been there and done that on alot of things.
Don't p*ss me off! I am running out of places to hide the bodies.

I'm definitely interested in this, however I won't be in Singapore until about 5 months from now. If you all start to establish regular meetings, please keep some sort of information flow on this forum or thread. My wife and I are heading over for her job, which leaves me in the enviable position of quitting mine! I suspect I'd have no trouble getting an equally boring corporate gig in Singapore, but I've always wanted to try starting my own company so this seems like a good opportunity.
