Hi everyone
I am the creative director from I Heart Board Games! My company(supported by Spring Singapore and Singapore Polytechnic) is organizing a creative story telling workshop for the June Holidays.
The creative story telling workshop is a 2 day programme spotlighting the key aspect of storytelling which are the narrative and the performance. This programme is for 10 to 14 year olds who like writing and having fun.
Why is this workshop different?
Everyone has a story to share; using words, images and sounds, storytellers narrate as a means of entertainment or education.
Our Storytelling Workshop will assist participants in finding their ‘voice’.
This program will see students creating their story and dramatizing THEIR literature, to really make their stories come alive!
Developed in consultation with an English Language / Literature educator, the Creative Storytelling Workshop was designed to complement the 2010 English Language syllabus and improve proficiency in oral and written communication, the program will incorporate game play and dramatic techniques to encourage creativity in story crafting and presentation, and improve public speaking skills.
We don’t like to brag, but our trainer really walks the talk!
Miss Dee is a Speech and Drama instructor whose passion IS story writing. Her enthusiasm in the subject has seen her participating in Story Writing competitions and even writing for magazines in her free time!
The dates : 2 and 3 June / 09 and 10 June / 16 and 17 June / 23 and 24 June 2010 2-5pm
Place of the workshop : 500 Dover Road, Singapore Polytechnic, Innovillage (Entry from Gate 8 + nearest MRT Station is Dover)
Cost $78 per participant (inclusive of workshop materials and light refreshments)
