In the same vein - can anyone recommend a good diving club? We are PADI & BSAC trained and looking for a good social club.
Cheers

Hi Pumpkin2010, I had no idea there was a dive outfit in kembangan (I checked out their website). That's great to hear (cause i'm in that area).
Curious, How much do they charge for dive trip?(and are their trips planned out - 1 day? 2 D 1 N?)
I've been diving for a couple of years, but never got around to doing my AOW, Any idea how much that costs as well?
Thanks!

I've done a trip with them too and they are definitely a very nice, social bunch at Submersibles

You can join their facebook group too and get regular updates on trips etc.
we know what we are, but know not what we may be

hi globalcitizen, not sure on cousre costs. did my AOW in the freezing waters of England more than a zillion years ago.
You can email and phone the shop and they will let you know. Like german says, they are also on facebook and they will update you on their regular trips too.

Hi Sulli,
I have sent you a PM
I am D.O With Free Flow Divers, a BSAC Branch and General Dive Club (with many PADI>SSI etc members ) here in Singapore
We are a proper dive club, not a shop, schoo or centre, - so non-profit, volunteer run, rather than a dive operation. Dive trips at least once a month (twice or more over the summer, again at cost price, no mark up) free pool session monthly and dry meeting.
Our website is
www.FreeFlowDivers.com
Cheers
Dave

Hi
I got my PADI licence last year, but I'm not going diving as often as I want. If anyone organizing this kind of event over the week end around Singapore, I'm eager to join! contact:

Yes. But if you have only a small number of dives (say <50), and not dived for a year or two, a responsible dive centre will want you to do a refresher. I haven't info at hand but a refresher might be just half a day running through the theory again and doing some core skills.
It depends on your experience really. If you've say only done a one week trip post-qual then yes you really have to refresh....
At about 5 years in such circumstances I'd really suggest maybe redoing the whole course. It should be a doddle really. But better wised up, confident and safe...
