gardening and Pest control cost

Post by gone4now » Sat, 15 May 2010 10:21 pm

Hello
We are currently relocating to Singapore and have discovered that the landlord will not pay for the cost of maintaining the garden or pest control, beyond termites.

Is this standard ? If so, can you tell me what the (more or less) price is for maintaining a largish garden is downtown ? And how often does the garden need fogging? And what is the cost of this too?

Thank you for any info you may have.

Try calling one of the pest control companies in my links site below. I know at least 5 of the links under Pest control (3rd column near the bottom) including the first 3 listed all give free quotations.

We live in a large landed property, so maintenance of it is paid by us.
It all depends on the property. We have a 9000sq ft garden, large by singapore standard and we pay around $100 (once a mth) pest control and $300 (twice a mth, 3-4 hours) for the gardener.

Hope that gives you a rough idea.

We are on about 19k sf, my gardener comes twice a week - S$400. Fogging is S$150 per month and he charged me extra for removing a hornets nest... Pool guy is I think S$100 per month once a week.

My gardener has a fixed set of clients so won't work in any other place (he's been on this property for like 20 years) but I have another guy that does my other property he's quite good and sends a team of guys, similar pricing.
