Is this available in Singapore? Since my iphone will be a paperweight when I move here - this might be my next best thing.

As adione said you can always jailbreak. Plenty of places here that will do that for you if you dont want to DIY

If you're going to be here for a while you can get a good deal with one of the (3) local carriers providing you have an employment pass or PR

Failing that take a look at some of the local shops sellling non contract phones . I find this web site useful as a guide of current prices and trade in's
http://www.htimobile.com/index.html

I've never used them mind you but their web site is up to date and their prices pretty accurate.

I dont think the "incredible" has been released here yet

Good luck

Strong Eagle has a thread here about iPhone jailbreaking: http://forum.singaporeexpats.com/ftopic65244.html

Yes - I saw that thread. Thanks.

However, I believe Jailbreak != Unlock - and there is yet to be an unlock hack for the 3.1.3 firmware for the 3gs version. I am planning to call ATT and Apple and will update once I know for sure. Anyway, perhaps I exaggerated - my iPhone won't be a paperweight - just an iTouch. However - I am mightily enamored of the HTC incredible and might just ditch my iPhone on eBay.
