V
Can I suggest you on what I did. I have branches in many countries BUT
I only pay my tax in Singapore.
Apart from lower tax rate, I report all the earning in all the branches as minimum as most of my set up the borrowing comes from the main office i.e Singapore.
So the overseas branches made a little money but most earning return to Singapore as debt or loan whatever. You are the director of that branch and paid an allowance. You draw your salary in Singapore. So you file tax in SG
I filed income tax in all my branches in its individual countries but just as window dressing.I filed the tax return in Singapore with full accounts stated
This way you will never lose your SG PR as you are seen as being given overseas posting to Thailand from the main office from the eyes of ICA
Makes sense to you ?

Just remember you need to register your name as the director of the Thailand and Singapore company. ICA wants to see this
Moreover your paid capital NOT Authorised Capital in both company need to be documented for review by ICA and IRA SG

The Thailand venture was halted after about 1 1/2 years . . . the reasons are many but the main ones were the people's greed, egocentric attitude, thick-headedness, the 'you-no-unnerstan-thai-way' bullshit and the general corruption with cops, local council, business council etc.. coming around once a week or once a month asking for their donations . . . evil fekkers, the lot of them.
Think I could have actually told you some of these things even though I have never lived there and what I saw was only a snippet of Thai society.
