I'm sure I was instantly identified whenever I keyed into this website before. That was so sophisticated and simple, saving users from the tedious mundane acts of registering before we can drop in.
If I'm correct, nowadays, we have to log on before we can read or chat.
I prefer automatic entry rather than having to log on.
Why this change backwards?

What happened to automatic entry to this website?
Thanks
Thanks both of you, for replying. I tried to copy both quotes but that didn't work. No offence or preferences. But if you don't mind telling me how to make multiple quotes, I'd appreciate that.ksl wrote:yes if you have deleted history and cookies, you will have to login and tick the box again, for automatic log in, to work. Though you can read the forum without login, but cannot post.
I haven't deleted anything. It was when I tried to get to my posts - just for reading only - that the logging in came out. I was able to get straight to my post before.
Difficult to advice without more info....
Ok, first the first. When you quote someone, you are only adding 2 tags: [quo te] and [/quo te], so you can do it manually (putting the tags and then copy-paste) as many times as you want
And about the problem, it's quite sure a problem with browser or antivirus/firewall. Do you have the same problem with other user/pass websites? Any new program installed recently?
So if you try to log in now, and tick the box, do you have the same problem next time you log in?

Thanks a lot.
Cheers. I'll try to find the tags and work out what you've instructed here. I haven't been exploring how to use the tools.Asdracles wrote:Difficult to advice without more info....

I don't really have a problem. I seem to be able to get to view my posts now straightaway. It's just that I have to log in before posting or replying.
I guess that's what youor someone else said everyone's got to log in before chatting.
Many thanks. Have a great day.
