Do you have tax assessment then? It may somehow help to proof that you have income.
I believe if you could write a brief explaination letter to ICA along with ur PR application, they might still accept your application.
You don't need to inform your employer that you are going for PR, but you will still need the company's endorsement on certain forms after you get the in-principle approval letter. though some ppl still manage to get the PR done without any company's endorsement.
Good luck!

Nice company you work for.
I would suggest you set an appointment to SEE someone at immigration and explain the situation. Your company cannot stop you from applying for PR and they MUST give you your salary slips.
It looks like they are not comfortable with you changing your status as being a PR would allow you to go job hunting without problems.
If you have a financial bolster to keep you afloat if they fire you then I would suggest you go for it and not let them bully you. Easier said than done, I know.

Thanks....
I started working from this company July 2007 and until now cannot apply for pr because of the payslips matter....
Yeah, maybe i'll just try to make a letter and my appoinment will be on 14 May.
He told me he will fire me before i apply but it's alright. But, is it really possible he can send me back to my country on the spot of cancelling my e-pass?
And is it true that he can pur reasons on the pass cancellation that could somehow affect me applying later again for new job?

Wondering if your company is trying to save the employer's CPF contribution. As soon as you get PR, you have to contribute to CPF as well as your employer. Some companies(usually big ones) give cash(equivalent amount of employer's CPF contribution) to foreign employees if they are not SPR. Does your company give you extra cash as compensation?
My company did not contribute CPF before I got PR but never stopped me from applying it.

ICA will issue a social visit visa to you while your employment pass gets cancelled. Depends on which country you are from, the maximum days allowed you to stay in singapore vary too. It's not possible that your boss can send you back home "on the spot".
If your boss does put some nasty comment while cancelling your pass, i'm afraid it will have some negative impacts on your application.

No, nothing at all. when I asked him why he doesn't like me applying, he just said his reasons cannot be disclosed.
Good for you, atleast your company did not stopped you.
(thanks!)

So, if it's not possible, then I can just ignore him if he ask me to book now and he will accompany me to the airport? did I get it right? Because he did this before to my other colleague already.
Oh, so it's possible that he could somehow put some nasty remarks in my cancellation even if it's not true?
(Thanks)

some company especially SMC don't like to apply PR for their staff b'coz once they got the PR. They will leave the company.
It's happen alot of time.
I had a vendor who want to apply PR but his company refused to sign on the form. The vendor had a discussion with his company and even give his promise to the company that he will not resign when he receive his PR.
In the end, he still resign within 1 -2 mth when he receive his PR.

to Therat,
Thanks for your insights and I agree... Maybe that's one of the reasons why he's doing this but somehow I have the right to demand for the copies of my payslips, haven't I?
For now, what I need to know is how to go about the consequences if he terminates me and if I could still push through my PR application.
[thanks]

If you were to ask me, I'd say be very careful. It's time to find another job. If you haven't been getting salary vouchers, how do you know how much you are making or are supposed to make? Do you have a signed contract with them?
The problem isn't so much that the employer can "blackmark" you with MOM as it is a problem if he is doing something illegal and you have knowingly or unknowingly colluded with him to do so. He is probably threatening you because he knows that if you spill the beans, He's probably in DEEP S**T as well, so he's trying to scare you.
Are you on an S pass by chance? If so, Are you actually receiving at least $1,800/month salary? Are you being paid via GIRO? As the Employer has to furnish you with medical insurance and cannot deduct any monies from your salary for housing or other costs, including the levies they have to pay, the only deductions from your salary should be nil. If you are receiving less than 1800/mo and you know that you are required to make 1800/mo, then you are in collusion with the employer. Therefore, going to MOM is going to get you hung out to dry as well. Does the employer required you to "return" a certain amount of cash to him every month? If he does, then you both are breaking the law.
As far as sending you home is concerned, if you are on an S Pass, the employer has to pay for your repatriation home regardless of whether or not you quit or you are fired. Don't let him tell you otherwise. This is written on the S Pass application.
The problem with a confrontation with the Employer and MOM is that you can get held up here, without a job and no wherey to get one until the case is resolved.
As far as pushing through your PR....
Nope, you are required to inform ICA of any changes of your employment status or address or any other changes to the information you entered on your original application for PR.

Thanks for the info....
Am under EP and my salary is fixed monthly salary is deposited to my account directly on time. No OT or any deductions despite of the long working hours. 9am to 9pm atleast. He will even get upset if you go by exactly 9pm.
I think he is just threatening me that I would lose my job if I do insist in applying.
If under EP-Q1, is there a way he could send me back to my country on the spot?
So for PR application, does it mean I can't apply anymore if I get terminated?
(thank you very much for the reply....need it)

No he cannot send you back, you will be given anywhere from, I think, 2 weeks with a possibility to extend once for 2 more weeks before having to actually leave Singapore.d' Praying Wife wrote: Thanks for the info....

You can apply while you are working and if or when your employer finds out, or you can find another job, then you will have to notify them of your new position. You really don't need to submit the pay vouchers but just submit a letter stating why you haven't submitted them. If your salary is being GIRO'd into you acccount, you could submit copies of the bank statements showing the deposits each month. Whether or not the application will be suspended or not is another story (It might be suspended until you find another job - I really don't know, and to say otherwise, might be misleading you.)

My classmate (PRC passport) applied for PR after we graduated. It is a slightly different scheme. However after being worked like a dog for about 4 months, she decided to leave the job. She went and told ICA and they issued her with a SVP. She applied for a LTSVP and started job hunting. Her PR application was kept in the system, but stalled. When she received a new job a month or two later, she informed ICA, and they put her PR application in motion again. She received her PR a few months into the new job.
So if your PR is already underway and you are fired, there may be a chance to continue with it. I guess it is a matter of pleading your case to ICA, and showing that you really can be of benefit to Singapore.
