West facing apartment- take or leave ?

We found a fantastic apartment in Costa Rhu (east caost) in the Olivia building BUT it is west facing and everyone seems to be advicing us against it. Anyone ever lived in a west facing apartment ? How bad does it get ? All the rooms are facing west !

The worst possible direction. Curtains and lots of aircon if you go for it. How's the view?

Ideally you want north or east facing.

Amazing sunsets though, just get a set of translucent sunscreen blinds that will take out the glare when needed.

Yeah, but sunsets here only last 10 minutes if you are lucky, not 30 minutes to an hour like in more northern or southern latitudes. If you have to run to get your camera, forgeddit, you will be too late. Not near as nice.
