I was searching through the forum and I'm amazed that nobody's posted anything about swing dancing / lindy hop in Singapore! There's actually a quite lively community of lindy hop dancers in Singapore. They have classes, dancing, and social activities most nights a week. If you're looking for classes or for people to dance with, here are some websites that may help:

Eh.. what's lindy hop, you ask? It's a dance that originated in the 30's, danced to (typically) big band music which you might have seen in old Hollywood movies or disney cartoons. It's fun and totally not gropey if anyone's concerned about that side of partner dancing.. Although it's (in)famous for the throw-the-girl-up-in-the-air move, that's only done in movies and on the stage
You can watch this clip of lindyhoppers dancing if you wanna see how it looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWSQTKRKAPU
Join in the fun, or ask me anything about it
Cheers
