Moving to Singapore from Hong Kong, where to stay?

Need your help! I will be moving from HK to SG around July this year and need to find a place to stay. I will be working in Standard Chartered so I guess near the Marina Bay area?

I would like to rent a place close to work and MRT... single so a regular apartment will do. My range will be around S$k-2.5k.... any suggestions will be very grateful!
