where to get materials for scrapbooking?

Post by cinder » Sun, 25 Apr 2010 11:24 pm

hello..
i have this request from soon-visiting friend of mine, who thinks i am a shopping expert and know where to find all exotic things under the sun.. but actually of course i am not (i just say 'Mustafa' to all visitors - that's it!)

where to get materials for scrap booking?

i really dont have any clues (since i dont have any clues what materials are required in scrap booking.. suspect it will be those fancy papers and stickers and ribbons??), so any input, obvious or not, will be much appreciated.

cheers, cinder.

scrapbooking is not big in Singapore - your best bet for materials is Spotlight on the 5th floor at Plaza Singapura. But yes - a general web search is always a good place to start!

I used to do a bit of scrapbooking. You can get things from Spotlight, but they never used to have that much (they've expanded though so they might have more stuff now), also Tango Mango bookstore in Tanglin Mall used to have some quite nice stuff. I noticed that the new Prologue bookstore in Ion Orchard have lots of the scrapbooking type paper so it might be worth having a look there - it's on level 4 but then you have to go up some stairs inside to get to the stationary area.

worth amending the search thread only for the url http://forum.singaporeexpats.com. The nml search doesn't do that because it is one way of advertising the classifieds section

There are a few shops that specialise in selling scrapbooking materials in singapore. They're generally pretty big and stock quite a lot of stuff, and also offer workshops..

- Paper Market @ Raffles City and Plaza Singapore
http://www.papermarket.com.sg/

- Made With Love @ Plaza Singapore
http://madewithlove.com.sg/

- Laine's Papeterie @ Wheelock Place (smaller than the 2 above)
http://www.laines.com.sg

Hope this helps!
