Hello Friends,

I would soon be submitting an online application for renewal of Re-entry Permit (am SPR). In this regard I have 2 questions:

1. One of the requirements is IT statement for the last 3 years. I have paid income tax for all years since becoming PR except 2007 when I was not in Singapore.

2. I registered as a sole proprietor with ACRA in the latter half of 2009. While I have paid tax for 2009, 2010 would be the first year that I would pay tax based solely on my business earnings.

Should there be any concern or do you see this application sailing smoothly?

I shouldn't think it would really be a problem. But, in today's climate one can never tell. At this point, it's a moot point as you still have to apply for the REP regardless. I understand your trepidation but frankly, as I said, it "shouldn't" be a problem unless they "want" it to be.
