Learn to pronounce name of that Icelandic volcano/glacier

Post by nakatago » Fri, 23 Apr 2010 7:04 pm

Eyjafjallajokull - pronounced ay-uh-fyat-luh-yoe-kuutl-ul - is the name of Iceland's volcano that threw up plumes of ash clouds causing airspaces across Europe to close down.
Ok, so even spelled and broken down phonetically, it's still difficult to pronounce.

But here's a little something to help you out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEEXY6Hr ... r_embedded
