you need to enter a valid us zip code matching the suburb. 90210 may be the most used postcode

To purchase apps you need to get a US itunes gift card and add it to your itunes account.
Erm no to purchase apps you just need a Sin account you connect to the Apps Store in Singapore and you can buy any App you want.

However if you want purchase from the US iTunes store - video, music etc - then you need either a US account or purchase US iTunes gift vouchers and use it too pay for the downloads. However you will need to do this on you Mac/PC iTunes since the iPad/iPhone defaults to which ever country your iTunes account (and Bank account) exist . . . :)

Furthermore, you can buy almost all US apps from the UK online store, for which you can create an account with a UK credit card. I am doing the same thing right now - UK account, UK credit card, UK billing address. No problems, except very unique material to the US store, which I can live without.

technocracy - not very techie today are we? The post asked how to get to the US AppStore. I explained how to do so - you replied that I was wrong and you just need to connect to the Sing store, then repeated part of my information on how to connect to the US store, but left out the most important bit.

For posters who are interested in connecting to the US AppStore *without* a US credit card *or* prepurchasing a US itunes giftcard, follow my post above. Very many apps are free and it has many, many more apps than the Singapre store. To purchase non-free apps you do need the gift card or CC, but to connect and get free apps you do not. Add a prepaid gift card any time after setting up the account.

I have an Ipad since July and I am quite happy even if the absence of flash for internet is more than boring.
