Stay home or don't participate. Otherwise, make like a duck and let it roll off your back like water.

It takes 2 hands to clap, so just walk away.

I recommend keeping a low profile & try not to gossip.

Or... just tell them to freak off. Something subtle like, when they start talking you say, "Geez, did someone just fart?"

Buy a picture of a nice mountain and place it (on a wall or cubicle) behind your chair. Put a chicken deco on your desk. They will get the message.

Oh, and a cactus plant on your desk might work too.

Dont be too sensitive :)

Sometimes it helps, if it gets worse, you might want to have a small talk with that person. You'll never know if it helps. Try to use a more pleasant tone as well.

If all else fails I guess you have to find a new job, because it's not easy to get things done if you dislike someone

I disagree about talking about it with the person. Wouldn't be sure who would be the sensitive one.

I would just take about the work or task objectively and stay on that track.

exactly right Irvine! he/she should never show their weakness, for others to exploit!
You must confront your fears to grow strong, not run away from them and hide!
You need to build a strong character, work on it a little bit each day, just ignore whats going on and do your job.

You need more confidence so why not get involved in some risky sports, to help you overcome some of your anxieties.

I won't encourage you to change job so often, bcos villain exists everywhere.
Sometimes you just need to close one eye and ignore their folly.
Work smart, be careful and don't offend them, as they can back-stab you anytime.

I think female working environment has more wars & complexities.

It's really amazed me of how some people will actually harm others in order for them to climbs up the rank.I worked here for quite some time too see these people are back stabbing and try to bring each other down when the next thing they do is laughing and eating lunch together....scary and its very very sad situation when you have no choice but to work hand in hand with fake people's.Guess i come to conclusion that colleague's can't be friend's as they are not truthfull. It's about time for me to move on and find better opportunity out there..i have learn very expensive lesson through this experienced...thanks guys for all your feedback... :)
