I only realize when the hole becomes fifty cents coin.
It takes me 2 weeks for the hair to start growing, and about 1 month to recover.

After 2 months, the hole has been cover up.
I went to see a skin specialist instead of hair treatment.
My personally opinion, if you want a better quality hair, go for hair treatment, if you have hair loss, is better to pay a visit to the doctor.

Hi lighter1,

So yours was more of a skin problem rather than a hair issue, is it?

Which skin specialist did you see and how much did you pay?

But i presume this skin specialist doesnt deal in hair matters, right?

cheers.

It is no harm to have a try with hair loss shampoo. But you don't need to worry about it too much. According to my experience, hair dropping sometimes relates with season. My hair will drop a lot when seasons change...

Hi,

I have tried several anti-hair loss shampoos but without much success.

Im dropping quite alot of hair everyday regardless of seasons n hence, im looking for some really effective method.

Wonder if anyone could tell me in details about the Matthew Gardson's method.

Cheers.

is this M. Gardson's method really helpful? I've heard about it but don't have any practical experience.

Hey girls, who is M Gardson? What did he pioneer? Is he a hair scientist? Honestly if your hair is falling out form stress, hormones or whatever it is, the best thing to do is to go see a Dr. Honestly. I really don't buy the ads out there on hair growth based on herbs and scalp massage.
I think that hair loss can be from a medical condition and sometimes it can run in families, but there are medical ways to arrest or at least control it. I know my dad (and mum!) take supplements, use a prescription hair tonic and shampoo (Renokin) to control hairfall; They swear by it! It's supposed to be tonnes better than Minoxidil with lots of science to boot!

I was having same issue straight after moving here - I have quite thick hair and on going to the GP & talking to hairdresser they both said it's pretty normal - just body's reaction to the change in temperature? Fingers crossed!

From what I gathered (by googling), someone will post, Try Matthew Gardson method, Matthew Gardson method. It works!, Matthew Gardson is proven to help hair loss, or something along the line.. And thats the end of the story. This person who recommends do not elaborate what this method is all about or further reply..

I heard MSG plays a part in hair loss, and Singapore is a place where MSG is used almost everywhere. Don't easily believe hair treatment advertisements like trichokare, yun nam, beijing101, etc. They are all money suckers with bad service n bad reputation.

Hi Cammomiley,

I agree with you. People have posted in the forum that this Matthew Gardson method works but there are no more details n no elaboration how this method works n what's the rave about. As you could see, i've asked before in my earlier posts but no one elaborates further. Its almost as good as nothing said??

I have gone for some sessions of hair treatment at one of those popular anti-hair loss salons n after trying more than 15 sessions, frankly i do not know if there's really any improvement. I still find that i drop alot of hair n i told the salon im not signing any more courses.

I heard of this i-grow hair treatment or whatever name treatment that some of the aesthetics doctors are carrying in their clinics. The before n after pictures seem to show hari growth. But of course, we do not know if that's another gimmick. It supposedly uses some kind of infrared or whatever. If im not mistaken, the machine is carried by Neo-Strata? The one that has their own skincare products?

Has anyone tried it n could share her experiences? :)

Hi babyangel11,

I think the most "effective" method is hair transplant, it is quite exp. I read from other forums that it cost abt 10k for a small patch.

Also read from other forums that some girls see results with some scalp lotion and shampoo.

I've personally tried the hair salons and they do not help at all. All that the people are keen on are making me sign packages after packages, which really pissed me off.

I'm currently on Minoxidil 5%, despite being told that once I stop it, the hairloss will start again.

Matthew Gardson method has not been described despite my attempts at researching it, nobody really knows what it is?????

Yes I have heard that you have to carry on Minoxidil for the long term. It is what the drs prescribe though, and I am sure that makes a lot of sense.

Cammomiley, please don't squander your money with the hoax establishments that claim that all that massage and herbs help. The best thing to do is to see a doctor I think. A lot of people have had success with lots of medically prescribed tonics and shampoos out there, friends included. Yes I saw that I grow helmet/hat that Drs carry, mine does too. It's supposed to be a laser device you can use at home for hair growth. Will pick up a brochure to read about it next time I am there.
I don't think our Drs will make false claims if there is enough proof that the hair does indeed grow. They are quite strictly regulated in Singapore and I have lots of faith in them. :)

Hi tinkerbell88,

i came to realise too late. money had been spent at those salons

you won't believe this.. each time i went (i'm not those "hardcore" hairloss people.. just that my hair used to be very full and i realised lots of hair dropping and hair gettiing more sparse), the salon's so called manager or trichologists (correct spelling?) will try psycho me to sign a new package..

i'll of cos tell them that i have not even seen any results, so i won't spend more money, until they gimme the confidence that their treatment is working..

after a few sessions, they will ask how i felt. when i feedback that it dun seem to be working.. their standard reply will be either i've not been going frequently enough (despite 2x a week) or the current treatment i'm on is not powerful enuf

most are really terrible, just out to fleece us of our hardearn money.. :x

I tried hairloss treatment or shampoo and no much success. The last thing I tried is the amla oil, upon a friend's recommendation who discovered that when she traveled in India. She tried that herself before recommending it to me and it really works. I have much less hair loss. And use natural or organic shampoo. It helps too.
