Thanks. Already have two 'smart' kids. This is one of the main reasons we want to stay in Singapore. I want them to be bilingual, my oldest will be in P1 next year, so i would like to avoid the hefty International School fees, hence the 'PR' path and also the inability of gaining employment on a DP pass but thats another 'thread'.

The only problem is 'time'. Husband's contract is up for renewal soon, so have the dilemma of whether to stay or go home. If stay, then PR. I am currently on leave from my job in Australia, so if i want to keep my cushy job, i need to return by September.

Our landlord is also selling up, so we need to move out by August. We would need to plan ahead.

I guess if i submit the application by the end of the month, if rejected, i should hear from them by June?

Thanks heaps

Mine was just rejected last week, and I sent the application by the end of February (less than 2 months)

Guess than when the YES/NO is clear, it takes shorter

Lapsed PR going for fresh application

Post by wuga » Thu, 27 Jan 2011 7:08 pm

Gotten my PR on 2002 but was posted oversea for years until my REP expired early 2009 and now i am holding a P1 pass for 3 months, i was back last November (2010), is it advisable for me to go for fresh PR application again? Any expert to advice? My wife and three kids are studying here in kindergarden.

Too many holes in your post.

Question

Did you reapply your REP when it expired or you let it run its own course ?

When your REP expired did you withdraw your CPF ?

When you are posted overseas, are you paying tax in SG or not ?

Your overseas assignment posting is under SG company jurisdiction or totally new set up which means your salary is paid overseas not here

When did you came back?

MOM issued you a P1 pass with the same company ?
