I did the pre-natal Yoga there and loved it and met my 3 closest friends in Singapore. We've stayed in touch over the last 14 months since our babies were born.
There is a good mix of locals and ex pats. I didn't really speak to anyone for the first couple of weeks but I soon gained confidence and started introducing myself to people - I'd only been in Singapore 6 weeks when I started going there so I was a bit nervous. A few of us started going for coffee and cake after the classes, pretty much undoing all our hard work
I also did the antenatal classes there, as did one of my other friends and she's stayed in touch with others from that class.
Thirdly, I also did the New Mothers Group when my baby was about 6 weeks old. You go for 4 sessions over 4 weeks to discuss all things about being a new mum. At the end of the 4 weeks you are given a list with everyone's contact details on and are encouraged to keep meeting up on a weekly/monthly basis. We started meeting in coffee shops but this got expensive so started taking turns hosting at our apartments. Once the babies starting crawling we decided to go to Royces at Liang Court and have been meeting there ever since.
