hi dear friend

please see my reply at the below forum... my case is similar to yours. so it might help.. at the sametime, please help me with the advice..

http://forum.singaporeexpats.com/sutra4 ... tml#469071

esp in regards to this Q:

Not too sure what should I do now.. should i wait for another 2 years .. my company is offshoring in another 3 months and i'm affected.. so either I try to find new job in another company (which will be tough, as looking at the job openings, they need more experience) or I go back to UK (as i have working visa and work for few years and then come back again and start the whole process.. t good factor about gg to UK will be that I will have a more better profile and higher salary which might help in getting the PR)...

much appreciated

Did you withdraw all of your CPF contributions when you gave up your PR?

You re-apply, just like you did before. And, if successful, you must put back all your CPF contributions plus the interest that would have been earned had you not taken the money out. But I think it will be very hard to be successful unless you left your CPF money in Singapore.

I've never heard of a successful reapply where CPF funds were with drawn. I know of people who took out CPF (it was paid to WP holders in the old days) and couldn't even come back again under a WP.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Then all you can do is try. However, unless you are something "special" in the eyes of the ICA, and given the much greater difficulty of obtaining PR these days, it doesn't sound too promising.

OTOH, if you don't apply, you are guaranteed never to have PR.

Only reapply if you are sure you won't ditch the nation again.

As a foreigner you cannot now voluntarily redeposit your CPF. You need to apply first and if you are going to get it they will ask to deposit it possibly with interest.
