Also, I am not sure about the work permit/visa situation. I am currently in the UK. Would it be easier to come to Singapore to start looking for a job?
Any tips or advice anyone has to offer would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi Will_Cole,
If you browse through this forum, you can understand that it's getting difficult to find a job or getting a visa due to the challenging market conditions.
Singapore is still welcoming the expats with right skills and experience and who can contribute to Singapore's economy positively. However, you have to identify your preferences in terms of
1) the industry you want to work,
2) the job and skills you are comfortable with.
Pursue your preference in your home country and explore abroad when you have the right skills and experience.
Having said that you may wish to come to Singapore on travel visa (social visit pass) even now. Singapore is a nice place to travel. This travel will enrich your understandings about Singapore and helpful to you in the future when you will be ready with right experience.
