Europe (except Britain) has matresses that are either 190cm or (more commonly) 200cm long and 90/100cm (for single) or 140/160/180cm wide.
These are a lot of sizes, but at least they spell it out clearly and don't pretend it's some kind of standard, like "Queen". Fitted sheets are normally made from stretchable material and thus fit a range of sizes.
As the other poster mentioned, non-metric sizes are different in various countries: UK Queen size isn't the same as USA Queen size isn't the same as Australian Queen size. I thought that Singapore used Australian sizes, but it seems I was wrong ...
It's just a mess!
