As the mainstream media has already reported, the Large Hadron Collider in CERN at the Swiss-French border is fully operational and is now colliding particles. Physicists all over the world are excited over the would-be results from analyzing all that data.
However, some people are still concerned--in spite of the CERN scientists reassurances that the LHC cannot create black holes that can destroy the world.
