Your post and your signature contradict each other a little bit, don't you think?

Hi All ,

Maybe i had not been very specific with the kind of assistance I will need thats why there is no comments yet.

1. I will like to bring in Art pieces from ASIA ( eg ,Vietnam , China , Indonesia & Mongolia )

2. I do not have alot of capital and should i straight away get a place to showcase my Art pieces or should i do it on line?

3. What kind of Art pcs will the general market likes?

4. What kind of marketing strategy should I BANG on?? On line advtg,Magazine , Newspaper...

5. I am also thinking of doing portrait painting & sculpture do you guys think is there a market over here?

I will really appreciate any comments or feedback.

Thank You

Hi Ric

I saw many beautiful art pieces in Vietnam when I was there conducting professional workshops. I'm sure the other places you mentioned are also quite promising.

If you could get some of the artists to allow you to showcase their work here on consignment basis, and if you could partner some galleries here to spare you some display space, this would be ideal. Otherwise, taking professional photos of your artworks and hosting them onto your own website would give your customers 24/7 access and your artworks global exposure.

Different strokes for different folks, I would say. If you could categorise your artworks, then it's good to host as many as possible on your website and let your customers decide.

Viral marketing would be cheap and far-reaching.

There are many portrait painting & sculpture artists around. But this doesn't mean that you won't find your niche as everyone has a unique style of doing the same category of things.

All the best!
