And you went to all the trouble to register, just to tell us that, yeah? And yet, it was so amazing it took a week to decide to get up the courage to do it without anybody even asking about it? :o

This is OT: but I would like to respond to sundaymorningstaple and to other regulars in this board who are acting like TEACHER-STUDENT to the newbies.

This is another example of a Moderator bashing someone mostly newbies who would like to share an experience or any related topics which I think not an OT under Entertainment, Leisure thread. Moderators should guide, or provide assistance to newbies in this board not insult them. If you think a certain user is just opening the account to advertise then prove it first - there should be a criteria specific to that measure before making any comments against it.

Act like a "Moderator" role and not acting like someone knows everything.. I've seen communities and boards like this and it's not professional.. you can tell if someone is Spamming or just plainly playing an idiot then as a moderator, you can take appropriate actions accordingly.

You can PM me if you have any reactions. Thanks for reading.

Ryan, you should have read the business section. When any members ask a question deemed silly, he/she gets ridicule badly. I mean it when I say badly. I didn't even want to participate in the Business section any more but even in these more relaxation section and I see this.

So you want to trash me on the open board but only want my response privately via PM? Fat chance. Get real.

As you should be well aware of by now, we DON'T care for advertisers and MLM'rs on this board. My tic...toc... is a way to let the possibly unaware advertiser know that they are treading on thin ice especially considering that they are posting under an orange banner telling them that advertisements will be deleted. IN the past 7 years here we have see just about every method of subterfuge possible and we have developed a sixth sense about those who are posting advertising or just for eyeball hits like paramountac does for his own site. Which is advertising as well, but passive advertising in the signature is all that we will allow. All newbies SHOULD read the various stickies at the tops of the various forums. If they cannot be bothered then they get what they deserve.

Nobody wants to have at teacher-student relationship. But if newbies can't be stuffed to read the stickies, or otherwise just take up bandwidth with 5 stupid one-liners in quick succession just to activate their PM function, well, that's the way it goes. It's hard to keep a clean board, most appreciate it, and those that don't are usually the ones we would like to keep off the board anyway. Suit yourself.

I told u I have read the guildlines, I got abit confused that's all and I did whatever I possibly could to rectify the mistake I make and even offered to change my login name if you are unhappy about it. You don't have to condemn me like a hardcore criminal. It's up to you to believe it or not. I couldn't force you. You can go on thrashing me and my comments. If the guildines allow our website in the signature, don't get sour because I have one in mine. If you don't want me to have it, just tell me. I will remove it. Don't make sour comments like this. Why don't you use the comments on your friends who has website in their signature?

There is life after work. I came to other sections to read about nice places for food, etc and to share the places I have been to since I spend so much on food. I don't even want to particpate in the Business section anymore as it is meaningless. It's mostly bashing.

If you keep bashing me on the mistake I made which I have already rectify, if you think I did wrong to Singapore expat forum then you should be looking into your team. Just because I am a member does mean they can take my photo and use it on the classified forum. Not even the courtey of informing me when they use it. Is that right? That's stealing. Don't push it to your teams members. Did I go around harping on it like you do? No, I just think you are unreasonable and leave you alone. I went to other sections and find more bashing from you to others. Your moderator team sometimes ask you to cool it and not frighten newbies. Haven't you realised something is wrong?

Your comments to Ryan is a tic for a tac. Do you even need to do this? It childish. I think Ryan just got as frustrated as I do reading your comments. If everyone is human here, there should be more people feeling this way, just that they want to avoid confrontation with you. If you want respect, learn to respect others too.

Do you find us rude? It's really much better than what you could have said. I don't think anyone ever told you about it. You can refuse to acknowledge and think I did this for revenge. I said all these with 1 objective - that is to let you know you are really nasty to alot of people.

You can carry on bashing me. I don't really care and I won't response to it anymore.

You, my friend, are acting like the kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar when you really have no reason to rage at all. The comment I made in my post to Ryan did nothing more that refer to the fact that you only post here in order to gain eyeballs to your site. Did I say it wasn't allowed in my post? No. Did I tell to to cease and desist? No. Did I, in fact actually "condemn" you? No. However, do you post anywhere else except in the forum where the likelihood of catching eyeballs is the greatest? Rarely. Ergo, you make my point. I did not castigate you for it but just pointed out that it was the only legal way on this board to advertise, e.g., a passive hyperlink in your signature. We put the passive link availability just for people to try to keep them from spamming the board with post after meaningless post advertising their sites. Methinks, my comment about you posting only to gain eyeball hits must have been mighty close to the truth for you to lash out like that after we had already had a discussion on it. What I said didn't say anything derogatory against you at all, unless, that is, you believe that what I said is in actual fact the truth. Surely that isn't so, is it? :-|

Hey guys it's totally off topic now.. this will be my last response.

@sundaymorningstaple thank you for the acknowledgment though I'm not targeting you as a person but only to your tone when you make your comments.. like for example it's not necessary to say "Fat chance. Get real." because I'm just trying to give you feedback on how your comments may offend to the newbies.. imagine if we are living in the same hood IRL and we see each other in the isle or in the elevator what would you feel if someone will say something like that to you? you see what I'm saying? I'm not asking you to change.. I apologize of being direct to you. Have a good night. Thank you.

Yes, I got exactly the same experience with SMS's comments. They are unnecessarely rude and do not help at all. I thought the purpose of a forum is to help people in the same situation, but apparently some people use this forum to humiliate others. Anyway, thanks to those rude comments, I almost never check this forum any more and moved to the other forum for Singapore expats. Much better, and much less unnecessary nasty comments :-))))

I love the fact that I'm such a big target. I went back and had a read of your 5 posts in that thread (anybody who wants to read them can find them on his profile page). Seems like I wasn't the only one who gave you an answer that you didn't like (but did deserve). Everybody who responded thought your were off. No wonder you like the Angry Board better. You are just like them.
