Need my bag fixed but can't find a place to sew it!

Post by caffeinated » Mon, 29 Mar 2010 4:45 pm

The handle of my over the shoulder bag broke and it needs a simple sew with a pretty tough sewing machine. Would be able to do this at home myself, but I didn't bring my machine to Singapore!

Any suggestions on the easiest way to get this done?

Mr. Minit might be able to do it. Otherwise, I believe there is a place in Far East Shopping Centre (not Plaza) that does bag repairs. I haven't been there for a long time so cannot vouch that it's still there. Somebody else may have some newer sightings.

There is this shoe repair shop at the basement of Paragon, he fixed my bag that requires 3 stitches in 5 minutes. You might want to try him.

I've taken my bags to Le Shine (aka My Bag Spa) #02-75 Far East Plaza
Tel: +65 6735 5266
They specialize in cleaning - but I'm sure they do repairs as well.

I took my North Face to a repair shoe store. I would say that any of those booths that repair shoes and copy keys have the the stitching machine. It took minutes to do it, and pretty strong. Really neat job :D

I did it in Luck Plaza basement, but also I have asked previously in basement and street level floor of Tanglin mall (or Tanglin square not sure of the name), Mr. Mint Great world City.
