I just want to mention a place where we bought some really knock-out soups at Christmas
http://www.saybons.com/department_soups.htm
@ Basement of Plaza Singapura.
My wife got a few pots, the mushroom, tomato and seafood one. As I was cooking turkey lunch for 15 in a crappy/tiny kitchen you will imagine, having the starters sorted out was great, to say the least.
And the flavours! I've been to chef-school and would aspire to achieve that finesse!
p.s. this is not an ad, it's just one of the better things I've experienced in SG. Western style food, that hits the buttons!
Am I being over-defensive, too long on the other 'Angry Forum' I suppose.
