Car hire company at Ipoh Airport

Post by Zeenit » Sun, 21 Mar 2010 12:35 pm

We are off to the Cameron Highlands and now need a car hire co to get us to the Cameroon Highlands.

Does anyone know if there is one at the airport or what other suggestion we can use. ie taxi cab and how readily available this option is etc etc.

We had been to Cameron Highlands, but we flew to KL and then used a SVIP coach from there. The company is Unititi Express. It was super cheap, costed us like 35 RM per ticket for the bus and was luxurious too.

KL you will also have more car rental options. Ipoh not very sure. You could try posting in a more travel focussed forum.

Zeenit, Ipoh airport is a one-room buolding . . . nothing like an airport you imagine.

I'd agree wht the above poster, but I'd rent a car at KLIA and drive, it is an easy couple of hours drive and you cannot get lost, it is one highway all the way, well two.

Cameron is a large area so having your won car will give you freedom to explore as you wish and not be beholden to the bus driver who makes a few bucks taking you to the places HE wants you to go. Also, many little farms are not accessible by coach.

Rent a car, it's cheap and you can go wherever you wish.

(Do book your hotel in advance as the last time we were there in Jan they were all booked out . . . thankfully Mrs Cluse had the foresight to book. SLEEPING WITHOUT AIRCON!!!!!
