Zumba

Post by enginette » Fri, 19 Mar 2010 4:38 pm

Hey, does anyone know where one can partake in Zumba classes? The Zumba Singapore facebook group mentioned California Fitness has some classes - is there anywhere else? And if not, what are the membership rates like at Cali Fitness?

Cheers,

Zumba?

Post by Kellypossible » Fri, 23 Jul 2010 12:11 pm

Hi Deena,

I'm wondering if you had any luck with Zumba classes? My mum in law (New Zealand to Australia expat), lives in Singapore and myself and my son Sam (toddler) will be heading over to enjoy a month together, we decided it would be a great opportunity to work on our poor fitness together. I just had the Zumba idea myself thinking it would be fun to zumba up in the loungeroom but typed in Zumba Singapore out of curiousity and came across your thread:)

happy Zumbaing

Ya I have no idea where to do Zumba in Singapore! I don't think it's really a big thing here like in NZ.
If you need to do general fitness, use the community clubs, costs $2.50 for one entry and they have some classes too but I'm not sure if you can do casual. They also have swimming pools there.

i wish there was lots of Zumba in Singapore. i know California Fitness has a class but you have to be a gym member to go to their Zumba once a week

- i used to do the class with Beto back in Miami Beach and miss it, never felt like working out -pure fun and lots of sweating never felt so good.

yea I know what you mean, Zumba is so fun and a great workout. At my gym back home it would be absolutely packed for every class, sometimes they would have to lock people out because it was too packed. If I were a Zumba instructor I would just rent a hall or something at a community club and charge people for classes, I'm sure you'd make your money back.

:D CA Fitness is not the only place conducting ZUBMA class. Thier exclusive rights where up the end of June this year.
