How to accept credit cards offline?

Post by cracktojack » Thu, 18 Mar 2010 12:34 pm

Hi,

We are an ecommerce startup where we accept PayPal as payment gateway for online shopping.

Now we want to put up our products display for 2 days (offline as a gallery)and for that we want to give credit card payment as an option to customers.

I've googled a lot about companies who provide credit card terminals on rent but couldn't find any :(

Can u pls help me guys:

1. What is the best option to accept credit card payment (temporary basis)

2. If you know any company from where we can take credit card terminal for 2 days, pls let me know in this post (if moderator permits) or PM me.

Regards!!!
CJ

You can pay by credit card through paypal! Offline credit card payment is far too expensive for the machine rental, use nets.....

But as far as I know, PayPal Singapore doesn't allow virtual terminal for credit card. Only option is to get payment is via sending invoice to customer's mail id.

So If i raise invoice to customer to his email and wait for him to go home and send me payment, it might be tough for me as well as customer because I'll be dependent on customer for payments.

Sorry I don't know about paypal Singapore.

I am using paypal but with a bank overseas, we have a business in Singapore and we looked into the credit card terminal, they wanted around 500$ a month , far too expensive. Check with paypal Singapore is the best, and talk with your bank, to see if they can suggest anything.

Why don't you just make sure you have internet access (wireless or otherwise) and use a laptop to access your own ECommerce site?
