Indoor climbing

Post by PatrickS » Sun, 14 Mar 2010 11:11 pm

I will be living in Singapore next quarter and am interested in indoor climbing. Just started climbing indoor in my home country. Anybody looking for a climbing buddy? Both weekends and week-evenings are suitable for me.
Some info:Male, 36yr s, 85 kilo, level 4+-5a

There is another girl in this forum who organised climbing sessions on a regular basis. I noticed that there are many first-timers who are there for a one-time or two-time trial. But the organiser is a regular.

Personally, I have been climbing for 2-3 years but I am still average in skills & technique. I climb on Monday evenings with another girl, so if you are interested to do a Wed/Thurs, do PM me and we can climb together.

Hi - I had some indoor wall climbing sessions in the UK before moving out to Singapore, really enjoyed it so would like to start up again. Think I need to start at the beginning so I'm going to kick off with the Level 1 course at Climb Asia on Sunday (28th March) if anyone wants to join? It's from 10am to 5pm.

Climbing

Post by nbuffini » Tue, 04 May 2010 12:16 pm

Hi All,

I recently moved to Sing and have been climbing for a good few years. I try to get out to the outdoor walls at Yishun once or twice a month and need some regular climbing buddies to train with during the week and weekends.

New to this forum so can't PM anyone - Am at [email protected] if anyone is up for a cheeky climb!

Cheers,

Nick

There are a couple of us who climb every Monday at Climb Asia (5 mins walk from Farrer Park MRT). Why don't you join us next Monday? I am usually there around 7pm.

Hi, am I able to rent the equipment from them? Is first timer (I'm referring to myself) allow to join your regular group? I'm keen to try this and it'll be fun to have some activity partners rather than do it alone. :)

you can rent everything you need there,
shoes: 5$
harness: 3$
single entry: 12$

If it's your first time, they rent you the harness for free.
If you wanna buy something, they have equipment for sale and
also drinks (bring some water or gatorade-alike 'cos you're gonna sweat a lot).

Here's the place:

well, that's easy: I'm the only one speaking Italian :D

jokes apart, we're at least 4 people at a time and pretty well from all over the world, so if you see a bunch of people gettin' along together and not looking to be from the same place, there you are ;)
sorry, not particular signs of us... just ask around :)
