Suggestion on offer

Post by peeps » Wed, 10 Mar 2010 4:34 pm

hi all, I am currently working as software engineer in India and have 6years of experience working on C#.NET and ORACLE. I got a job offer in Singapore through a consultant, he is willing to offer 5.4K salary per month, is it good salary?

Can I accept the offer? Please guide me.
FYI. I am not married yet but might marry within this year.

Regards,
Pradeep

It's reasonable but getting MOM approval might be a bigger stumbling block than the salary. Having said that, you would be qualifying for a P2 EP so that would gain you some points but things are not rosy here at the moment what with an election looming sometime probably in the next 12 months.

Pradeep 5.4k is well above the singapore average salary.

You should not have any problems supporting yourself and your wife as long you are not living a very very lavish lifestyle.

Recommend you to take a chance with MOM and the visa but dont resign till you have the EP in hand.

Read other threads around here for a good idea.

Good luck!
