I guess it is time to try with an "Equal Opportunities Employer" though the very concept of that is in shambles.

reasonably possible, but don't quit your day job just yet.
That's what I did. Of course, it took three years to land an offer...

Do a search online for companies based in Singapore that supply to Northern Africa or the Middle East. Then contact them.
If the company here really wants you, and you are not a security risk, then you can get in.
My friend holds an Afghan passport and he got a job here as a fresh grad last year. The poor guy gets security checked in little rooms in every airport he goes through.
So don't count yourself out so fast!
