Diving in Redang

Planning to dive at Redang during Good Friday. Anyone has been there? Need some advice.

Also looking for companies, let me know if you are interested. =D

Have you already booked your tickets?
I am interested, but has limited budget
By the way, I never dive before and will be very excited to have a try.

Yeah, have booked the Redang trip with Dive Asia Now. Don't think you would want to do your open water dives at Redang, the referral dives there are quite pricey.

You may want to consider doing your open water dives at Tioman with one of the local dive shops first before going for further trips.

Wanna join the redang trip as a non diver? hehehe

I'd want to try diving and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
Do you go there by coach or by air? I am wondering if all the room are full now.

By the way, Good Friday is April.2nd.

Hi, I searched on the internet. It says there are two kinds of dive: skin dive and scuba dive. Which kind will you do?
If for a person who cannot swim, is he able to do skin dive?

we are going there by coach. Not sure if there's any more vacancy, but u can send an email to [email protected] to check. The person I liaised with is jackson, he's quite helpful and prompt with replies.

Btw I am not sure abt the skin diving, maybe some pros out there can advise?

not a pro myself, just happen to know.
skin diving = free diving = dive without any breating equipment but your own lung

theoritically you can scuba dive without the ability to swim (even though it's not recommended and you wont be certified without some swimming ability), but you cant do skin dive without the ability to swim - since skin dive is basically swimming under the water!

i know this is bit out of topic, but can't help myself not to ask:

Question to pinkbam: why didn't you search in the internet in the first place on what skin diving is, and whether you need to be able to swim or not - since you've got the info from internet searching??? not that i am complaining, but just wondering why...??

have fun diving!

It is easier to get the answers in forum.

So many people, like you, cannot help not to express themselves.
