Open Rhinoplasty, using ear cartilage to enhance the nose.

Hi there, I just had an open rhinoplasty a few days ago. What the surgeon did to me was he took my left ear cartilage and push up the left side of my nose a little bit, as the left side of my nose is looking flat.

Currently, the stitches are still on my left ear, and the pain is bearable.

I am curious to know how long will the wound in my ear takes to heal? I am very worried it might take a long time to heal because I can only give it a maximum of 6 weeks grace to heal.

I read a lot of recovery report on rhinoplasty but none of them mentioned anything about the ear cartilage.

i haven heard of anyone who experienced pain the ear from cutting out the cartilage?
perhaps you can consult your surgeon??

How long it took you to recover for your ears? Soon I will be undergo an open technique surgery and I'm bit scared here. Do you mind to share your experience and which doctor you been to? Did you insert a foreign implant? I can't PM you as I still doesn't have enough post.
