I used to run a small business in the UK and I always found that Mums returning to work made fantastic part-time employees. There's something about having a kid, managing a family etc that either makes or breaks your ability to do several things at once!
I'm wondering if anyone here has experience of hiring or finding work as a returning-to-work mum in Singapore? What's the attitude to part-time work - are employers flexible and what would make a part-time role attractive for a mum with, say accounting, office management or similar skills?
So many friends say they hate being a 'trailing spouse' and I wonder if there's a way to make returning to work and engaging with the community through that a positive for a mum who's also got so much to do at home?
