Oh God. For Dumb(SMS) and Dumbers(JR8) sake. That should have read "I don't have a bone to pick with you".
Sorry to take away your ammunition.

Jenny, I'm almost embarrassed that you are an American as well. First we get Obama and now you.
Oh God......

You're a Republican. That explains a lot. Now, do you hate Obama because he is black? Or is it, that he provided millions of Americans with basic health care? Ummmmm............ putting a little dint in your big pay packet is it????
The extremists don't need to attack America. They just need to fund the return of George Bush. He and his banking buddies can bring America to it's knees at a far greater rate.
Poor old Obama has got to clean up one Republican mess after another. Go you good thing.

Firstly, if you don't own the house. Then you are a guest. Or an obnoxious unwelcome squatter. For what I have read of their comments, this is how I picture Mr Dumb(SMS) and Mrs Dumber(JR8). I wonder how most Native Americans would portray their "Guests".

Very interesting reading this thread. Have not yet arrived in country and already being told to go home by Montecarlo (boo hoo!!). But I am pretty certain the whoever he/she is only posted it to get a rise out of everyone. So, you could say the mission was a complete success. Although I would think that other people thought that as well and I am just stating the obvious !!

We get our periodic trolls here. We play with them for a while and then discard them. Breaks the monotony of answering the same old questions on how much does it cost to live here and where should I live and how can I get out of National Service due to posters inability to use search functions.
Anyway, welcome to THE forum. Sit down, stay awhile, we're good people here!

You're lucky. I have a problem stringing three together in a comprehensible manner. Then when I do, my keyboard tends to spell funny words although in my mind they're not. Guess my arthritic fingers just ain't what they used to be.

Ahem.
Montecarlo, you don't speak for the majority of Singapore. I'm a Singaporean and have no qualms about foreigners in our country. I don't really see what your problem is. The foreigners taking away "your job"? If you were that capable you would succeed anyway, and how can they take away a job that wasn't yours to begin with? Personally I quite enjoy the contrast of the different races in Singapore, we are all people of the same planet and we travel and live and experience. There is a lot to learn from people who are not of our culture and you know what? They probably want to learn from you too.
How would you feel if you immigrated to say, America, and all the Americans were racist against you and tried to shoo you out of their country, accusing you of all sorts of things?
Why the hate?
Take a chill pill and spread a bit of love.

i am a singaporean but i am siding him, majority of singaporeans dun like foreigners in our country, u need a poll? i can setup and link you to the statistics, just to show how much we hate foreigners in our country. it is not about whether we have the capability over foreigners for a job but rather we serve NS/ we build the economy but at the end of the day we need to share the fruit with someone else. we are talking about the rights of being a citizen... how can jobs be given to foreigners when a equally capable citizen can take up the post? we stay and fight for this country but not the foreigners... but we have to share our benefits with them... is it fair?
with the massive influx of foreigners in our country, your wage will only go lower, your hdb or residential place can only get more expensive, your child may get placed out by foreign expat child and slowly you will be replaced by a foreigner because your boss is a foreigner too and favour his/her own nationality over you. it is a ripple effect dude... our ancestor build this country with blood and sweats... we cant give destroy it just like that.... foreigners are neccessary in a rapid growing economy but it has to be at a moderated pace not at an exponential pace. we are still a fairly young country and we do need foreign expertise in term of technology and financial expertise but it has to be truly talented individual not just any ahtiong or ABNN who know how to make a cup of coffee.
