Hi all, I am new here. I am going to work in Singapore in about 2 months time. Just realized from my new employer in Singapore that the company does not have medical/hospitalization plan available for employee. Is it common in Singapore that we need to make our own arrangements for medical insurance?

Relatively common. At least for a reasonable coverage.
