More likely he's been exposed (and will continue to be exposed) to a variety of viruses and bacteria brand new to him. It's all part of the magic of a major international move. IMHO? Keep him hydrated and stay away from antibacterial everything.*
*unless there is a open wound, then I'd treat it with an antibacterial ointment and watch it carefully.

There is a vomit bug going around, but 9/10 times it just a change of environment, the tap water now used in his food and drinks all have a different cocktail of natural and man-made chemicals. Does he swim alot? Ingesting pool water water wont help things.
Our kid suffered for the first week here because of the constant changes from hot and humid to dry and freezing rooms.
No harm in popping into the local kids doc to check and introduce yourself.

No he doesnt swim alot just once since we have been here (5days). I am convinced it is just the change of environment...though if he smells the durian fruit it makes him feel ill instantly (no offence).
If it continues I will take him to the docs.
thanks for your responses

When in Rome do as the Romans do, took me a while and you have to start slow one bite and lots of water, you will feel awful bloated and suffer tummy gurgles plus tastes like puree mangoes and onions.
I figured there must be a reason why the local and orangutans go mad it, now after half a dozen attempts it gorgeous stuff, like the caramel cream you get in éclairs. I can see why they call it the King of fruits.

I've been here a pretty long time, and I still get an upset stomach often, much more than at home. Also, one time my wife and I caught a bug from eating at a hawker center and had to take antibiotics. Has he been eating out?

That is strange.
As a counterpoint, I cannot remember ever having an upset stomach in Singapore, but I am far from a dainty eater.
The only time I have any intestinal upset at all is from the very clear causative of eating way too much raw chilli with my sliced fish soup.
Amusingly, my Singaporean born and bred wife sometimes gets sick eating the exact same food.

I have not eaten at a hawker stand yet....soon come though....we have been eating out a bit as we just moved into a serviced apt. and still trying to find our feet so for now that is what we are doing...
I read that hawker stands a well regulated like proper restaurants and sickness shouldn't be an issue how do you know which is a good hawker or are they all basically the same?

start on the durian ice cream then a few cakes, I had the same problem, but it really grows on you, the wife still hates the smell, good job we have a spare bedroom..brushing teeth doesn't help, even taste it the next day. OMG Orchard point food republic top of elevator their is a Taiwanese in name "Formosa" stall, the best pepper chicken noodle i have ever tasted....Though they are all mainland Chinese not Taiwanese. But Taiwan sells better

My last local boss firmly believed that the best tasting food came from the stalls that scored a "D". He might have had a point: places like MacDonalds and KFC score "A"s all the time...
