sometimes you just cant complain because i tried it once. I complained one officemate because he was watching porn on the computer which is beside me. our manager told me, it cant be true because its against their religion.
Oh you don't need to think its something you did. Men the world over "check women out" even at the workplace (or especially at the workplace ;-)) but certainly if it gets to a point where it gets uncomfortable for you then you ought to bring it to the notice of HR. And this is very different from someone watching porn on their PC. You might want to confront one of these guys-I mean just look them straight in the eye and tell them that that kind of behaviour bothers you and it needs to stop.

it happens to every female, not just pinays. when a hot girl walks by, after taking a glance myself (sorry, still red-blooded male), i immediately notice other people's eyes. they don't just take a look, they stare and leer.

I have heard first hand from one person who openly admitted he and the trainee (also male) had a running competition who could get a certain female staff member to bend over the most and reveal her cleavage, eg ask her to unpack boxes and orders that arrived, empty bins within vicinity etc etc.

They sound like pigs! Watching porn in the workplace is so completely unacceptable, and you are more than justified in making a hell of a noise about it. I'd ask him if his wife/girlfriend/mother knows what he acts like in the presence of other women. What a total jerk.

As for the staring at your chest and backside: it sounds like your colleagues are knuckle-dragging neanderthals so they may not pick up on the hint, but I'd act stupid and ask if there was something spilled on your shirt or pants, and is that why they're staring so hard...

I had a friend at university who went to a job interview where the guy talked the entire time to her chest. After a while, she looked down at her chest and poked one of her breasts in a really exaggerated way and said, "Hey! He's talking to you!"

(Edit: to try and make sense)

Don't they have internet watchdogs?

If I were in your shoes, I would start looking for another job PRONTO.

That's not really an option for most people in this economic climate, and in some(or is it many?) cases can mean a salary drop unless you are in a specialist/high-demand occupation.

Also complaining can have mixed results.

I would keep it to yourself for now until you have more solid proof (eg security cameras in office?).

Also, dress down perhaps - eg if your aircon in office is too cold, you would have the perfect excuse to further cover up with a cardigan or other less flattering clothes.

Only problem is, now isn't the time to be job hopping. Getting that employment visa is a chancy dance at the moment. Just because she was granted one in her current position, the next employer might not be able to justify it to MOM. Then how? Being devoured with the eyes is uncomfortable, being unemployed is even MORE uncomfortable.

i think she is already dressing down and still getting stares, those guys sound like a.holes. Reminds me of my grandma's story on how females 13 and above had to wear rags and cut their hair short and put ash/dirt on their face during the Japanese occupation to prevent unwanted attention

Perhaps she should put on gay porn and watch it openly, lets see how openly the men take it

*kidding*

I was waiting for you to pull the 'I am poor little Filipina' schtick . . . you do have airs, don't you?! Having said that, however . . .

. . . if you have no avenue to complain, especially if it is your boss, then you are stuffed, unfortunately and these cavemen are too stuck in their ways to know right from wrong.

Either complain again forcefully or you may have to change jobs, as unfair as it sounds. Some idiots simply don't know how to behave in a professional manner.
